What is an SST meeting?
A Student Success Team (SST) is a collaborative meeting designed to identify and address a student’s academic, behavioral, attendance, or social-emotional needs. The team works together to understand the student’s strengths and challenges, review relevant data, and develop an individualized Student Success Plan with specific strategies, interventions, and goals.
👩🏫 For Teachers
Teachers may refer a student to the SST when they have concerns that are impacting the student’s success despite classroom strategies and supports. Teachers are encouraged to bring specific examples, data, interventions already attempted, and observations about the student’s strengths and needs.
🎯 The Goal of an SST
The goal is not to label a student—it is to problem-solve, provide support, monitor progress, and help the student succeed.
